Barcelona is forever housing musical premiers. It is now Chicago’s turn to visit Barcelona. This musical is a combination of black comedy and prison drama which premiered in Broadway in 1996, written by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse and with music composed by John Kander. This production has already been represented in 16 countries across the world. Chicago tells the story of Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, two ambitious women who are serving sentences for crimes of passion and try to earn the favour of the lawyer Billy Flynn. All of which is set in a 1920s Chicago, with famous songs such as All That Jazz, When you’re Good to Mama or Cell Block Tango. Undoubtedly, this is a unique opportunity to see the original Broadway staging which has captivated the audience as well as the critics.
