This year’s main equestrian event will become one big party as the city celebrates the 100th Barcelona International Showjumping Competition. The Real Club de Polo de Barcelona Olympic showjumping circuit (the CSIO) will be decked out in all its finery for the occasion. The CSIO Barcelona will also be hosting the world final of the Promotional League, a top-level competition which will bring elite riders to the city.The competition consists of 11 trials, with highlights including the Grand Prix on the Friday night, the Queen’s Cup - Longines Prize on Saturday afternoon, and the FEI Nations’ Promotional League Final Cup on Sunday afternoon. The CSIO Barcelona also hosts a number of entertaining activities in addition to the competition, such as the fun riding displays, the traditional gala dinner during the Ciutat de Barcelona Grand Prix on Friday night , the large competition village and restaurant enclosure, and the pony park which introduces kids to the world of riding.Day tickets can be purchased through the Servicaixa automatic teller service from June onwards. There are also numbered tickets for the four days of the competition in the covered grandstand, which can be booked by calling the club’s offices.
