The Audi MedCup Circuit consists of five regattas which are held during over a five month period, in four different countries. All of them are held in Southern European waters, Spain (Barcelona and Cartagena), France (Marseille), Italy (Cagliari) and Portugal (Cascais). The first one takes place in the Atlantic Ocean and the remaining four are in the Mediterranean Sea. One of the most exciting novelties of this 2011 circuit is the debut on the 40 series of the Soto 40 class, a 40-foot one-design designed in Argentina, which is competing for the first time in Europe. Once again the Audi MedCup Circuit will allow for a unique feature within this elite sport. The boats will compete with a guest on board in each of the regattas. These guests will enjoy the action as if they were a member of the crew. The large Audi MedCup Village provides visitors with the chance to enjoy a unique interactive experience, with free access for visitors to view the boats in their ‘pit lanes’ and follow the regatta live.
The Audi MedCup Circuit is currently considered to be the best regatta circuit in the world.
