After taking Madrid by storm during June and July, the musical Les Misérables will finally reach Barcelona. Although it is the first time it will be represented in Barcelona, it has been preceded by a tremendous success. This musical adaptation of the novel by Victor Hugo has been performed for the past 25 years and has been viewed by 56 million spectators in 42 countries. In May, this renewed version was presented at the Gran Teatre del Liceu by the composer himself, Claude Michel Schönberg. The success of the musical Les Misérables is due to the vast amount of emotions it transmits, from rage to love, including sorrow, hope or happiness. Critics have confirmed this show to be one of musicals with the best stage production, and with good reason, as it includes a spectacular vocal performance and an amazing staging, which moves more than 100 people and has been decorated under the inspiration of the original paintings of Victor Hugo himself. Without a doubt, the Musical which will set tongues wagging this season in Barcelona.
