Through an overview of the Museu Marítim de Barcelona’s collection, this exhibition ‘Voyage out to sea’ aims to explore the meaning behind travelling by sea. For this, the exhibition shows the different levels which intervene in the experience of travelling by boat, by means of physical elements as well as symbolic ones. With more than 100 pieces which include boat models, cartographies and navigation instruments, viewers can immerse themselves in the fascinating world of sea travel.
