The Cinema Effect. Illusion, Reality and the Moving Image. Dream.

There is no doubt that along with television, cinema is highly important in the construction of our visual culture. The exhibition “The Cinema Effect. Illusion, Reality and the moving Image” analyses this specific impact. The second part, ‘Dream’, the first being ‘Realism’, can be viewed on the same dates at the Caixaforum in Madrid. It reflects on how the omnipresent media evokes sensations which are experienced as well as intense, as are the ones we live while dreaming. The exhibition has brought together works by prestigious international artists such as Christoph Giradet, Teresa Hubbard and Alexander Birchier, Kelly Richardson or Andy Warhol, among others.
