Within the framework of the exhibition ‘Volume', the MACBA presents the work of Muntadas ‘Between the Frames: The Forum (1983-1991). This work is a large installation and provides an extensive vision of the artistic system of the 1980s. Completed over a ten-year period, ‘Between the Frames…’ analyses the relations between art and society, art and popular culture, art and media and art and architecture. Built around a series of interviews of artists, artist’s agents and other mediators related to the world of art, the work takes on a historic character and provides a magnificent portrait of art in the 1980s.
