Barcelona Zoo lies inside the Parc de la Ciutadella and has more than 7000 animals and 400 different species from around the world. It makes a very nice day out especially if you are travelling with children.
The feeding of the dolphins in the open air pool is particularly entertaining. In addition to visiting the zoo, you can take a walk through the park and enjoy the spectacular waterfall and boating lake; admire the white and glass structure of the Hivernacle, or visit the Natural Science Museum.
